Depression Symptoms

Clinical depression is a very real problem and one that must be addressed and treated quickly. There are many people who have this condition – but do not actually realize it. This is because they do not know how to spot the symptoms for it. We feel that it is just a reaction to something that happened and it will pass like they always do.

The difference between feeling sad and be clinically depressed is that these feeling that overtake you are much stronger than you have ever felt and will last for days or even weeks. This can be a reaction to a lost loved one, a traumatic event in our life, or even problems that we might have with our self esteem. These feelings will keep us from living our lives like we should.

When the symptoms of depression are not treated they will become worse and instead of affecting us for a few months it will last for years. Most people will begin to suffer health problems associated with depression and may even have thoughts of suicide. It is hard for people to identify these symptoms – but it is the first step to finding help.
